I get it.
I have been through the wringer with my health and especially my skin. From severe and painful acne, to terrible digestion, disordered eating, hair loss, parasitic infections, insomnia, asthma, amenorrhea, and more, I know how it feels to be at wits end with your health. I tried countless topical medications, antibiotics, birth control, spironolactone, and cycled through dozens of dermatologists to try and get answers about my skin. Spoiler alert: none of them were able to help me. Unfortunately, all of the acne treatments I tried did more harm than good to my body.
I had doctors dismiss me and my symptoms, said it was “all in my head,” and left me hopeless and confused. My dermatologist told me the only way to maintain clear skin, was to stay on medication for life. I, however, had something else in mind. Eventually, I turned to food, herbal medicine, and other holistic modalities to truly get to the root of my health issues. I decided to study Holistic Nutrition to learn more about food as medicine and how I can help others naturally heal their conditions. I studied Psychology and Nutrition in college, and am also an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, Certified Holistic Nutritionist through AFPA, and certified through the T. Colin Campbell Plant Based Nutrition Certificate Program.
I practice a holistic approach to health and wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. When we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health (and your skin) as a whole. We will work to build your body back up, support your natural detoxification pathways, and ensure all of your body systems are functioning at full capacity. One of the benefits of healing your skin naturally is that you heal your entire body in the process.
I do not like to dwell on calories and macronutrients or make lists of “good” or “bad” foods. Instead, we work together to create a healthy and sustainable way of living that works for you. No two clients are alike, therefore no two protocols are alike. Each one of my clients will receive a fully customized and unique protocol that fits within their budget, lifestyle, and long-term health goals.

During our sessions we will go over your health history which includes your diet, sleep, medication, and lifestyle habits. I will help you develop a deeper understanding of your body, what’s really at the root of your health problems, and how to finally heal for good. I will guide you through each step of the process and support you through all the highs and lows of healing. Long term health issues can be emotionally draining, and I would love to be your supporter and cheerleader through the healing process.
During our time together you can expect to receive a free initial consultation, a personalized health plan, bi-monthly sessions, weekly email check-ins, and skincare tips and advice (if applicable).

Are you currently on medication for acne but scared to transition off?
I totally feel you! It took me months to decide whether or not to go off the pill because I was worried about the side effects. I was on birth control, spironolactone and was also using a few prescription strength topical creams and decided to quit everything cold turkey because I was SO sick of the side effects! While I cannot make any recommendations about your medication (you need to talk to your doctor about this), I can help you with the transition to hopefully mitigate some of the side effects and bring your body back to balance. Your body is always trying to maintain homeostasis and keep you healthy and vibrant, even when it seems like the opposite! I would love to help you get to a place where you feel comfortable in your skin again.
I have a few options for those looking for support on healing their acne at the root. I offer 3-6 month coaching where we work together 2 times per month. We will start by assessing your diet and lifestyle, and work towards enhancing detoxification, healing your gut, and other practices that I may deem necessary for your skin. I will also develop a custom skincare routine for you based on your skin concerns, history, and goals.
Additionally, I offer 90-minute intensive sessions. During one of these intensive sessions, we will go over your health history and I will guide you toward better understanding your body, the root cause of your acne, and how to finally heal for good. These sessions are ideal for those who do not require the monthly support from my regular programs, but are interested in learning about how to treat their acne naturally. Those who choose the 90 minute intensive session will also receive a fully customized skincare routine.
