Prepare the cashew parmesan, if needed. Cook pasta according to package instructions.

Dice the onion and sauté with olive oil until golden brown, then add garlic and sauté for 1-2 more minutes.

Blend drained white beans, sautéed onion and garlic, and remaining ingredients until smooth. Sauté chopped asparagus in the same pan for 5-10 minutes.

INSTRUCTIONS

Mix asparagus with cooked pasta and sauce, then top with red pepper flakes and additional nutritional yeast or cashew parmesan, if desired.
