Ingredients

  • ½ cup sweet potato puree*
  • 1 cup non dairy milk
  • 1-2 pitted dates
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 tbsp hemp hearts
  • 2 tbsp almond butter or other nut/seed butter
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • Optional: scoop of protein powder or collagen peptides

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a blender
  • Process until completely smooth, adding more liquid if needed to make blending easier.
  • Taste and add more spice if desired.
  • Serve immediately.

Notes

You can use a fresh banana in place of frozen, but add a handful of ice cubes so the smoothie is nice and cold.
You can use sweet potato puree from a can, or bake 1 sweet potato at 400 degrees for about 45-60 minutes and scoop out 1/2 cup of flesh. I just used the canned stuff!
Any kind of non dairy milk will work in this recipe, I personally use almond milk.
