These red velvet brownies are fudgy, easy to make with the perfect hints of chocolate and vanilla. Load them up with chocolate chips, top with cream cheese frosting or enjoy as is! They can be made dairy free and are gluten free.

INSTRUCTIONS

01

Preheat the oven to 350°F and line an 8x8 baking pan with parchment paper. Microwave butter for 30 seconds. Beat softened butter and sugar for 1 minute. Add egg and vanilla, beat until well combined.

INSTRUCTIONS

02

Mix in flour, cocoa, and salt until smooth. Add food coloring to achieve desired red hue. Fold in chocolate chips. Transfer to the prepared pan, smooth the top, and add extra chocolate chips if desired. Bake for 30-38 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

INSTRUCTIONS

03

Cool in the pan for 20 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice into 16 squares and enjoy! Adjust baking time for fudgier brownies.
