Cookies are probably one of my favorite things ever. Especially chocolate chip cookies. But I get a lot of requests for vegan recipes, so I’ve rounded up all of my favorite vegan gluten free cookies!
From chocolate chip, snickerdoodle, peanut butter, tahini cookies, funfetti and everything in between.
Some are healthy and made from chickpeas (!), some are rich and indulgent with (vegan) butter and plenty of sugar, but all are delicious, easy to make and you’d never guess they’re vegan and gluten free!
Frequently asked questions
Generally, yes! You can freeze them either before you bake or after. if freezing before, you’ll want to lower the oven temperature by 25 degrees and add a couple of minutes to the bake time to account for the frozen dough.
If freezing after baking, I like to let them cool, wrap each cookie in plastic wrap, then place in a zip lock bag. Reheat in the oven until warm!
These recipes use a variety of flour blends. Some use almond flour, some a gluten free all purpose blend or a mix of both. My favorite GF blend is Bob’s Red Mill, but whichever you use, make sure it has xanthan gum in the blend.
If the recipe tells you to chill the dough, don’t skip this step! Chilling cookie dough is important both for flavor and texture. Most of these recipes don’t require it, or only require you chill for abut 20 minutes.

The best kind of cookies are ultra soft and chewy, and these vegan snickerdoodles are exactly that. Plus, they’re easy to make and just so happen to be gluten free!
3) Double Chocolate Chip Cookies
The BEST vegan gluten free cookies for the chocolate lover! These paleo friendly cookies are made with almond flour and no refined sugar but still have a rich and crave worthy flavor.
4) Funfetti Cookies
Who says funfetti has to be reserved for cake?! These funfetti sugar cookies are vegan and gluten free with the best chewy texture.
5) Lemon Blueberry Cookies
While originally intended for Spring/Summer, these vegan lemon blueberry cookies are perfect any time of year. Chewy and so easy to make!
6) Tahini Cookies
If you’ve never tried tahini in cookies, now is the time! It adds a rich nutty flavor and yields the perfect crispy edge and chewy center. With pools of chocolate chunks, this is one you don’t want to miss!
7) Oatmeal Chocolate Chip
You can’t go wrong with this classic! These vegan gluten free cookies are made with oat flour and rolled oats for an easy recipe that passes for breakfast or dessert!
8) S’mores Cookies
S’mores but without the mess! These cookies are filled with melted chocolate, gooey marshmallows, crispy graham crackers and a buttery cookie base.
9) Vegan Chickpea Cookies
When your sweet tooth strikes but you still want something healthy, these chickpea cookies are the perfect solution! They’re soft and chewy, completely vegan, gluten free and so easy to make.
